Do you enjoy the outdoors and want to contribute y Do you enjoy the outdoors and want to contribute your skills to a local organization? Join Nature NL’s Board of Directors! We welcome new board members from all walks of life who live anywhere in Newfoundland and Labrador. Board meetings are currently online (and may return to in-person, but with a hybrid option). The time committed to Nature NL varies; we expect board members to attend most board meetings (~9 per year), keep in touch on board matters by email/messaging, and contribute in ways that make sense for them (e.g., lead nature-themed events, write policies, fundraise, etc.) over their two year term. We are particularly excited about welcoming those with financial / accounting expertise and those who look forward to grow with Nature NL in the future. Interested? These backpacks filled with binoculars, identification guides, instructions and tips for birdwatching are available to borrow from Newfoundland & Labrador Public Library branches in St. John's, Conception-Bay-South, Torbay, Mount Pearl, Clarenville, Carbonear, Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, Corner Brook, Pasadena, Labrador City and Wabush. Adult, kids and family backpacks are available in English and French. They are totally stocked with all your birdwatching needs. Just pick up a pack and hit the trails!
