September Indoor Event

7:30 p.m. in MUN Science Building S.2067

It’s September again and that signals the start of our regular fall monthly meetings. This meeting is a special one as the winner(s) of the society’s Tuck Walters Awards are to be announced.

As usual we will start the meeting with members offering any special natural history observations from this past summer. Then Dr. Bill Montevecchi, Chair of the Awards Committee, will announce the 2015 winner(s) and a number of the winner’s colleagues will talk about their achievements. The award is named for Dr. Les Tuck who was the Head of the Canadian Wildlife Society in the province for many years, and Captain Harry Walters who was the first Head of the Newfoundland Wildlife Division. The award is given to individuals who have made outstanding and enduring contributions to the advancement of natural history appreciation and protection in the province.

Please make every effort to attend this special meeting!
