Whale Day at Cape Spear

Come to Cape Spear National Historic Site and welcome the whales back to Newfoundland on Sunday June 24 from 11 to 4. This is the second annual NL Whales Day.

Events:

– Name that whale – at the Most Easterly Point in North America from 12 to 4 pm Parks Canada, Fisheries and Oceans and Tangly Whales staff will help you look for and identify whales in the waters around Cape Spear
– Find out how you are similar to a whale and put together a real minke whale skeleton
– Learn about the Newfoundland and Labrador whale disentanglement program
– The sound of humpbacks – visit the Most Easterly Point in North America and listen to recordings of Humpbacks, Orcas and other whales found in Newfoundland and Labrador waters (compliments of Wildland Tours) .
